The South Pacific island of Fiji is the ultimate destination paradise. With its warm tropical marine climate, lush forests, and dazzling coastline, Fiji is an island that people keep coming back to. There are many popular activities and adventures to explore while on the island.

1. Snorkeling
Being up close and personal with the gorgeous coral reef and colorful fish off the coast of Natadola Beach or the Beqa Lagoon, is a snorkeling experience like no other. The tranquil and calm waters will put you in such a relaxed state, that you may want to go back to your Fiji accommodation for an extended nap.

2. Rainforest Trekking
The tropical rainforests of Fiji are worlds that are waiting to be discovered by exploration. The rainforests do not have harmful wildlife, so it is a safe habitat for trekkers to feel comfortable in. The rainforests are filled with little streams, waterfalls, and an abundance of tropical birdlife that will make fantastic picture memories.

3. Visit The Garden of the Sleeping Giant
This breathtaking garden has over 2000 species of tropical orchids. The collection is Fiji’s largest of the flower, and they have been cultivated for years. Right next to the garden is late actor Raymond Burr’s holiday getaway. Inside the house contains memorabilia from the actor, such as personal photographs, furniture and a walking cane.

4. Shopping
The boutiques and shops of Nadi Town offer fun and unique souvenirs for visitors, as well as quality clothing. You will find shops that sell traditional artifacts that have been handcrafted by local artisans, such carvings, clay pots, jewelry, woven baskets, and fans. Enjoy spice shopping in one of the spice shops or the municipal market for regional spices to take home. There are eateries and cafes as well in this area to stop and grab a bite to eat at before retiring back to your Fiji accommodation.

5. Visit a Fijian Village
Not only will you get to interact with native Fijians, but you may also learn how to make carrying baskets, how to husk a coconut, and see how they steam food.
